JCP Solicitors is a regional law firm with offices across South Wales. Our clients include businesses and private clients from all over England and Wales, including some major high street lending institutions.

We aim to provide a happy, positive working environment. We celebrate the successes of others around us and support each other professionally and personally.

As a regional law firm, we offer the opportunity to progress careers quickly and for team members to have more responsibility earlier on. Our recruitment is based on attitude before skill and we are a family-friendly firm where a positive work-life balance is encouraged.

Every year we offer law students from Swansea University a twelve-month paid legal assistant placement. In 2024 we had up to 3 places available for commencement by September. Past opportunities have seen Legal Assistants work in a variety of teams including: Injury Services, Residential Property, Commercial Property, Debt Recovery, Lifetime Planning and Family.

Our placement scheme is designed to give you an insight into the legal world while providing valuable experience to put on your CV. The scheme has been an excellent gateway for previous students who have gone on to secure future paralegal positions and training contracts. In the last three years, three of our Undergraduate Legal Assistants have been offered training contracts to commence once they have finished their LPC.

As a placement scheme Legal Assistant, you will be welcomed into JCP Solicitors, enjoying all the benefits of being part of a close-knit organisation.

In order to apply for the positions you must be a Law student at Swansea University and in the second year of your degree.

JCP Solicitors is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to ensuring that our recruitment process is open, fair and not influenced by irrelevant considerations. JCP Solicitors recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to treating all team members with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief; we, therefore, welcome applications from all sections of the community.
