Donna Mahoney

Hi, I am Donna. I am based in our Cowbridge office, and I am a Legal Advisor within the Lifetime Planning team, specialising in Wills and LPAs, having joined JCP in January 2019 when returning home to Wales after an absence of 34 years.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and have advised on Wills, LPAs and Probate matters since 2015.

After many years working in IT, I began studying Law in 2010 and in 2012 I attained the 'Student of the Year' award at Hertford Regional College for my achievements with my CILEx studies.

I am a compassionate communicator, able to put people at their ease and take them through the legal process that they need to undertake, be that in relation to a Will, putting in place a Lasting Power of Attorney or a Probate Application.

I aim to make a difference to each client. With the ability to identify a vulnerable client, I am aware that I may be speaking with people during a very difficult time in their lives, particularly those that are dealing with the loss of a loved one or when trying to organise their affairs when difficult family situations/relationships exist.

I undertook training in 2019 to become a Dementia Friend. A Dementia Friend learns more about what it is like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action.

For me, weekends are a time for spending with family in Wales and my sons and grandchildren in London and Hertfordshire.
