Ian Rees

Hi, I am Ian, and I am a Director and Head of the Personal Injury team. My team and I deal with all types of Personal Injury claims, including road traffic accidents, cycling accidents, accidents at work, and accidents in the home. Whilst I oversee the more general Personal Injury claims in the team, I specialise in more complex matters involving spinal injury, severe orthopaedic injuries, amputation and those involving Industrial Disease.

My team and I are focused on achieving the very best outcome for individuals and their families through difficult times, who have been injured, often with life-changing injuries, through no fault of their own.

I have been working in the specialist area of Personal Injury for over 25 years since qualifying in 1998 and have helped numerous clients through the emotional journey of pursuing complex Personal Injury claims. I recognise that coping with these injuries, reduced quality of life, along with any loss of income, can be a traumatic time and I will do all I can to reduce the stress and anxiety for the client and the client’s family.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and, much to my children’s annoyance, exploring the Welsh landscape through long walks. I also have a keen interest in all sports, particularly rugby, golf, and cricket and am an avid supporter of the Swans which I attend with my son.

I am a fluent Welsh speaker, and I am happy to deal with clients in either the Welsh or English language.
