Home / Our People / Jessica Thomas

I am an Associate Solicitor in the Court of Protection team, having qualified as a solicitor in 2020. I have several years of experience in Wills, Probate, and Court of Protection matters, with a particular focus on deputyship and trust cases. I support individuals who have suffered from a birth or brain injury and are unable to manage their own financial affairs, including cases where the Court of Protection has appointed a Deputy to make decisions on their behalf.

I completed my Law Degree (LLB) at Swansea University before undertaking the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Glamorgan. I later qualified as a solicitor through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) route, gaining valuable hands-on experience in private client law along the way. More recently, I expanded my knowledge by studying for a diploma in Environmental Science.

I am known for being approachable and personable, which helps me build strong relationships with clients and their families during what can often be a difficult time. Supporting people is at the heart of what I do, and I take pride in making the legal process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.

Beyond my legal work, I am passionate about community engagement and networking. I am an active member of Swansea Bay Business Club and M4 Business Network and have contributed to legal blogs and social media content. In 2016, I had the honour of serving as the Mayor’s Consort of Llanelli, supporting my father in his mayoral duties and helping to raise awareness of local issues and charities. I also dedicate time to charity work, particularly raising awareness through my involvement with the motorbiking community.

Outside of work, I enjoy painting, history, and my motorbike.
