Hi, I am Joanna. I am a Director in our Lifetime Planning team in South East Wales working in the Wills and Probate team, covering both our Cowbridge and Cardiff offices. I deal with a variety of matters primarily administration of estates, consideration of lifetime gifting of assets and post-death variations as well as the preparation of wills and creation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1992 and have since worked in Cardiff and Cowbridge, in family law earlier in my career, as well as completing the ACTAPS ( Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) course, moving to non-contentious wills and probate work in 2013. I joined Peter Davies Solicitors in 2007, which subsequently merged to become Glamorgan Law and then at JCP Solicitors since April 2017 following a further merger.
I am an effective communicator, aiming to be friendly as well as professional while supporting clients who are frequently working with us at one of the most difficult times of their lives.
I have taken part in several of the Cardiff Legal Walks and undergone dementia-friendly training to become a Dementia Friend.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking, badminton, tennis, learning foreign languages/foreign language cinema and reading as well as spending time with family.
