Hi, I am Lauren, a Director in the Medical Negligence team at JCP. I recognise that clients pursuing a medical negligence claim have often been through an incredibly difficult time and whilst pursuing a medical negligence claim may feel like a daunting process, I ensure clients feel listened to and supported throughout. I pride myself on building trustworthy relationships with clients and their families.
My friendly, approachable and professional manner ensures that my clients fully understand the legal process and are kept up to date.
I have experience in dealing with a wide range of medical negligence claims including cases involving surgical errors, delays in diagnosis as well as orthopaedic and ophthalmic injuries. I have also dealt with numerous cases under the NHS Redress, Putting Things Right Scheme.
As well as my own cases, I am also heavily involved with assisting the Head of the team Matthew Owen and Keith Thomas with complex birth injury cases.
I graduated with a First-Class Honours Law Degree in 2016 and completed the Legal Practice Course with Distinction the following year. Upon completion of my studies, I commenced my training contract at JCP in 2017 and qualified into the Medical Negligence team in 2019. I became a Director in April 2024.
I am very proud to be Secretary for Headway Swansea and I am a member of the Swansea and West Wales Brain Injury Group. I am also a Dementia Friend and I have also received training from the Stroke Association on the importance of building stroke-friendly communities.
Outside of work, I enjoy going on holiday and spending time with my young family. I also enjoy keeping fit and have previously run Swansea and Llanelli Half Marathon where I raised over £800 for charity.
