Joseph Hawkins

Joe joined JCP in August 2022 as Deputy Team Leader in the Residential Property team before moving to Commercial Property, following a secondment. Joe has extensive experience having worked for several local authorities and an international law firm for just under 7 years. Joe provides a variety of legal services such as commercial leases, commercial sales and purchases and a variety of complex land transactions.

Joe joined JCP Solicitors in 2022 after working in Cardiff for an international law firm, bringing with him experience in residential conveyancing from acting for lenders on equity release remortgages and purchases, as well as acting on their behalf for mortgagees in possession sales.

He has a varied and interesting background in Law, initially graduating from Swansea University with a History degree in 2007 before going on to complete his graduate diploma in Law at the University of Glamorgan in 2009. A year later Joe started working in the child care legal department in Cardiff Council and moved to the West Glamorgan joint legal child care team and latterly the City and County of Swansea in 2011.

In 2014, Joe started his Training Contract at Pembrokeshire County Council advising on planning, commercial property, litigation and regulatory matters and in 2015 became an Associate Solicitor in an international law firm dealing with property matters on behalf of lenders.

Outside of work Joe likes spending time with his family, going on holiday, walks on the beach and camping. Joseph also captains a touch rugby team in the Ospreys region and enjoys competing in triathlons, having completed all distances up to Ironman Swansea 70.3 along with being a two times finisher of Tenby’s Ironman Wales.
