The First Minister of Wales has announced new rules around self-isolation. It comes as covid-19 rates increase across Wales, however figures shows cases may be dropping.

Previous rules allowed household members of someone with covid symptoms or a positive test result, to not have to self-isolate, if they were double vaccinated. However rules are now in place that say if a household member has symptoms or tests positive for covid-19, adults who are double vaccinated and children between 5-17 will also have to isolate until they receive a negative PCR test.

Household members will also have to isolate to await a household members test results.

People who are unvaccinated will still need to isolate for 10 days following being in contact with someone who tests positive for covid-19.

If you have any queries with regards to the new isolation rules please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the HR & Employment Team on law@jcpsolicitors.co.uk or call 03333 208644.
