When Employee Health Issues Cause Safety Concerns - Haverfordwest
An overview of the responsibilities of an employer when an employee reports ill health or ill health is suspected within the manufacturing and construction industry.
Clare Bowen, Head of HR Services aims to help businesses understand some of the policies and procedures that are needed to look after and deal with employee issues.
Should you suspect there could be a health issue that is preventing an employee from performing, or makes them a possible health and safety risk to themselves and others; do you know what your responsibilities as an employer are?
This workshop will look at:
- Are you doing what you need to legally?
- The Health and Safety Act and your responsibilities under it.
- Your duty of care as an employer
- Risk Assessments
- Occupational Health
- Dismissal on medical grounds
- Legalities
These events will allow for networking with others in similar roles, informal discussion with an expert in the field, and the sharing of best practice with like minded individuals.
All workshops take place between 12:30pm - 2:00pm, are free of charge, and include a basic sandwich lunch.
