Swansea Supported Living Specialists Announce Expansion Programme

A Swansea firm which supports people with complex needs to live independently have announced expansion plans and refinancing which will help them to extend their help to even more users.
GRS Care Ltd specialises in providing clinically-led support to people with complex care needs – including learning disabilities, physical and mental disabilities, as well as life-affecting injuries or drug and alcohol issues.
The company, which is based in Swansea Enterprise Park, is owned and managed by two medical professionals, Dr Amrita Amin and Dr Ceri Todd as well as a non-medical Director, Dave Howells. They have residential premises throughout Swansea, Neath, Llanelli, Burry Port and Carmarthen and, thanks to this refinancing, they will set up extra premises, including a purpose-built dwelling in Swansea and some static caravans in popular seaside locations, designed for short break or respite care.
Legal work around the refinancing work – which went ahead with Barclay’s Bank and Finance Wales - was carried out by South and West Wales legal specialists JCP Solicitors.
GRS Care Ltd Director Dave Howells, said: “We are very pleased to be pressing ahead with these expansion plans less than a year after we took up the reins at GRS Care Ltd.
“We are grateful to Chris Davies at JCP Solicitors for his support with the refinancing. We enjoy a long-term relationship with JCP Solicitors – they acted for us when we bought the business back in April 2015 - and we were happy to call upon them for their support in refinancing the business.
“This refinancing will enable us to support more people in South West Wales to work towards sustaining their independence.”
Chris Davies, Director and Head of Property Services at JCP, said: “I am pleased we were able to support GRS Care during this time of growth for them. This work we carried out around their refinancing involved bringing one financial arrangement to a close with GRS’s former banking provider and drawing up a new agreement for the company and this process involved significant liaison with a number of lenders, surveyors, lawyers and accountancy firms.
“GRS Care Ltd carries out such valuable work in the region and I am very pleased to see them flourish.”
