JCP Solicitors has been appointed to the Mencap panel for Wills and Trusts, naming Sean Boucher, Beverley Bowen and Rebecca Danks in the Mencap list of accredited legal professionals for Lifetime Planning.

Mencap is a UK-wide organisation which supports people with learning disabilities, and the charity’s Wills and Trust Service has been established for parents and carers to find expert legal advice and guidance to help set up Wills and Trust Funds for their loved ones.

The Wills and Trust Service allows parents and carers of people with learning disabilities to reach out to trusted legal experts who can support with Lifetime Planning, giving peace-of-mind that their child or loved one is supported and financially protected in future.

The Service and associated legal professionals advise how best to plan for a loved one’s future while protecting their means-tested benefits and support packages.

All Mencap panel members must be a full member of STEP – the global Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners – meaning they are recognised as leading specialists in Lifetime Planning, Wills and Trusts.

Carmarthen-based Director Sean Boucher, Swansea-based Director Beverley Bowen and Cowbridge-based Senior Associate Solicitor Rebecca Danks are proud to be listed as Mencap panel members, and the firm is taking part in the legal professional partnership programme. This programme offers a 10% discount on Wills and Trusts charges for clients referred to JCP Solicitors by Mencap, demonstrating long-term commitment to supporting those with learning disabilities and their families across South Wales.

Chris Shaw, Director and Head of Lifetime Planning said: “Being listed in the Mencap panel for Wills and Trusts is a fantastic achievement for our highly qualified, expert legal advisors in the Lifetime Planning team.

“We take a client-centric approach to Lifetime Planning, and we recognise that every family has a unique set of circumstances. This is particularly relevant when considering Wills and Trusts to support people with learning disabilities, and we look forward to supporting more families to safeguard their future.”
