Law Firm CEO takes on £40K Challenge of a Lifetime for Ty Hafan

The CEO of JCP Solicitors has pledged to raise a staggering £40K for Welsh children’s hospice Tŷ Hafan.
As CEO of JCP Solicitors, and President of Swansea Bay Business Club, Hayley Davies is used to taking on the challenges of the boardroom. But she has also taken on the most exacting physical challenges of her life – conquering the 3 highest peaks in Wales, cycling from London to Paris and jumping out of a plane over Swansea Bay.
Hayley has been knuckling down to some intensive training over the past few months and the challenges started when she climbed the three peaks of Wales on 18th June.
She says: “When I took over the presidency of Swansea Bay Business Club last year I pledged to raise £20,000 by completing a trio of extreme challenges – challenges of a lifetime - in support of my chosen charity, Tŷ Hafan.
“And since I made the promise in front of a room full of people there was no backing out of it once reality dawned on me!
“With the cycle and the skydive to go, I am so very grateful for all the support I have received from colleagues, family and friends, and well-wishers.
“Teams of individuals from the Swansea Bay business community, including a JCP Solicitors’ team, have committed to join me for the individual events. So far all the teams and individuals involved have blown me away by raising collectively in excess of £35,000 so I have decided to up the target to £40,000.
Rebecca Chick, Regional Fundraising Manager from the Charity Tŷ Hafan said:
“Watching people pushing themselves to their limits for others is very emotional. I am so very proud to be part of this story and this incredible pledge for our wonderful Charity that touches so many people’s lives.
“Tŷ Hafan offers comfort and care, absolutely free of charge, to children and families in great need – allowing them to make the most of the time they have left together.
“Each year we need to raise £4m to enable us to offer this lifeline and we simply couldn’t do this without generous support from the public, £40,000 is an overwhelming amount of money that will make so much difference.”
Hayley’s next challenge will begin on the 20th July when she and a team of 5 other women from the Swansea Bay business community begin their 320 mile cycling journey from London to Paris.
