JCP Solicitors has committed to seven key promotions from within its ranks, despite the challenges of the past year. JCP, which is one of the largest law firms in Wales, is continuing to focus upon carefully managed growth in line with its long-established ethos of growing its own.
The first promotions, which will take place in October this year, will see David Owen, Associate Solicitor in Commercial Litigation, Ian Rees, Head of Personal Injury and Jacqui Gower, HR Manager, all being made up to Director.
David, who has been with JCP for more than 10 years, is responsible for the Commercial Debt Recovery practice which assists commercial clients to recover outstanding payments. David also undertakes insolvency and professional negligence related litigation, together with working alongside banking and building society clients pursuing secured and unsecured business liabilities.
Ian has worked in the field of Personal Injury for over 20 years. He heads a team that deal with complex claims, including road traffic and cycling accidents, accidents at work, public liability and asbestos disease claims. He is focused on achieving a good outcome for people who have suffered through no fault of their own, some with life-changing injuries.
Jacqui’s primary role is to oversee JCP’s 180-plus employees across all offices in South, East and West Wales. As part of the management team, Jacqui is passionate about creating a culture of inclusion and developing opportunities for continual career development and growth. Jacqui’s role has been pivotal during the pandemic.
Joining them as Directors from April 2022 will be Medical Negligence expert, Rebecca Bennett, and Wills and Probate specialists, Joanna Fenoulhet, Sean Boucher and Beverley Bowen.
JCP Director and CEO, Hayley Davies, said: “It is a pleasure to see our valued colleagues’ progress, particularly at a time of extra operational challenges due to the pandemic. All seven will continue to bring unique expertise and professionalism to JCP Solicitors and our clients. As a regional firm, we can offer a wide range of career opportunities alongside personal development; from team leadership to office management roles. We will continue to recognise our exceptional team members whilst offering a positive work-life balance, without the high expectations that can often be found in big city firms.”
JCP Solicitors has eight offices across South and West Wales and offers a wide range of services for both businesses and individuals.
